What was the highlight of De La Poste
Faded elegance, and seems pricey for what it is, but you don't have a lot of choice in Port Said.
Breakfast was the best thing. We ordered an early breakfast and it was sitting waiting for us, with efficient and pleasant service.
While the staff were generally nice I got the impression the owner was not great - exchange rates were being used very much to increase the cost of our stay. We booked a taxi and it was good that they could book it for us, but it was very expensive and we ended up with a guy who hadn't a clue where we were going and didn't seem capable of just using google maps. So we ended up paying a huge amount to see two sites and only had time for one because of the driver.

The staff were great. They all made an attempt to communicate in a friendly manner
The breakfast was standard fare for an Egypt. The staff made every effort to be helpful approachable and good natured to a non arabic speaking person
This a budget hotel thus the facilities aren't perfect but did match up to price.

Stuff is friendly and the location is good
The room isn't clean at all, no tissues or soaps in the bathroom. I found a used bottle of water in the fridge.
